2020 Camp Attendant

Still looking for someone for the upcoming season. here is some information about the job.

Job posting is for a camp manager for the 3 outpost cabins on Eagle Island located on Lake St. Joseph. This is a 40min flight north of Sioux Lookout, ON. The job is accessed in and out by plane only, so being comfortable on float planes will be a huge plus. Most of the time you will be located at this location. You will have your own cabin and space for the summer. The season begins early May to end of August. A motivated employee that is very personable will do will at this job. Being Motivated will give you more free time to fish or explore the lake. We are interested in one person, but a couple would be considered. There is no cell service here, but we do give you a satellite texting device for limited communication, but communication back to base is almost daily. Working alone and staying self motivated is a must. If there are any larger projects, we will team up and work together. I am at camp every 1 to 3 days with supplies to keep running smoothly. It is up to you to stay in contact and update me with what supplies are needed. Experience and performance will dictate where the monthly salary will start. Monthly Bonuses are available to employees who show good self motivation and good client feed back. We are a small team that works closely with each other in a great work environment.

• Communicating and socializing with guests
• Fueling up boats
• Bailing boats
• Small cabin maintenance
• Cutting grass
• Making sure all cabins have adequate supplies
• Taking out garbage and recycling
• Keeping the grounds clean and tidy
• cleaning cabins on occasion
• helping load and unload airplanes on cabin change overs.
• Assisting with carpentry projects
• Changing out propane cylinders
• Some heavy lifting will be required
