Is Noto going to bring up any thoughts on how the Corona virus pandemic may affect tourism and is there any thoughts from NOTO on this?

We are actually putting together a newsletter that we will send to our members and non-members today about the coronavirus. It'll feature tips on how operators can prepare their business, facts on the virus, cleaning and disinfection/prevention tips, and provide links to sources on Government (provincial and federal) initiatives. We've received a few calls from our members so far, they haven't had any cancellations but they have heard questions and concerns from their guests & some are concerned about the borders closing. We will link this newsletter to our website (noto.ca) when it goes live. We are currently sitting on a Northern Ontario tourism task force on corona who is regularly in contact with Government and other tourism organizations. We've also received a call from the Federal Government's Tourism branch staff. All Governments all redirecting marketing efforts towards domestic and the USA rather than international.

Hi there, Just following up on your question from yesterday. We've sent all resource-based tourism businesses and industry partners in our database the following newsletter containing information on COVID-19, preventative measures, cleaning/disinfecting tips for businesses, and tips on how businesses can best prepare. You can view this newsletter by clicking on the following link: conta.cc/2xyOu9m There is also a Northern Ontario Impact Survey in the newsletter. We encourage all tourism businesses to participate in this survey. It was coordinated by TIAO with the help of tourism organizations to best assess the impacts to tourism. This information will be shared to the Minister MacLeod (MHSTCI) so that they can assess the situation and respond accordingly. The link is also featured in the "News" section on the right hand side on the main page of our website. Hope this helps!

Do you know if private trailer parks where you stay there for the summer and keep your trailer there over the winter. Will be opened for this Summer?

Can you confirm that it is true that regardless if the border is opened June 21st that the CA government has stated that the 14 day quarenteen will remain in effect to at least Aug 31st? Is this statement a fact or just rumour. Thank you.

At this time, it appears that the 14 day quarantine will remain in place for anyone that is permitted to cross the US/Canada border. We are hopeful that when they reopen the border for leisure travel there will be other measures in place to allow them to eliminate the quarantine.
